Media Server
The Vonlink Media Server is a VoIP application server that handles the media aspects of a call. It integrates voice and video features with speech recognition, text-to-speech and other technologies. It also provides development interfaces accessible via the full suite of .NET languages (C#, VB.NET, etc.).
Features include:
- Software-only VoIP and video solution with a variety of media processing configurations;
- Support for up to 500 simultaneous VoIP and video calls per server;
- Horizontal scalability, enabling a virtually unlimited number of media channels;
- Compliance with IETF SIP call control (as well as ITU H.323 and H.450.2) specifications;
- Streaming media of Real-Time Transfer Protocol (RTP) using G.711 (packet size 10ms, 20ms and 30ms), G.723.1, G.726, G.729a, G.729b voice coders;
- Voice recording and play-back with tone detection and generation;
- Video support;
- Quality of Service (QoS) threshold alarms, packet loss reduction, RTP/RTCP timeouts, and Type Of Service (TOS) byte setting;
- Ability to integrate any third-party call or connection control protocol stack;
- Programmatic control of the volume of RTP sessions;
- Support for a variety of media processing functions such as:
- Play with volume control;
- Record with automatic gain control (AGC);
- Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF);
- User-defined tone detection and generation, including RFC 2833 input indication mechanisms;
- Support for outbound call progress analysis with positive voice detection and positive answering machine detection algorithms;
- Access to raw media streams in order to fine-tune voice and tone detection;
- Fax (T.38 and V.17);
- Full access to low-level engines (VoIP, speech recognition, text-to-speech, etc.) and events in order to simplify advanced application development and debugging;
- High-level interfaces that abstract low-level engines in order to support future third-party software easily without changing script code.
